The return to Croatia of attacking midfielder Antonio Jamicic is official after five months. It was understood that the bond between Futsal Cesena and Antonio Jamicic was very strong in July 2021, when the Hurricane arrived on the banks of the Savio. Victories after victories, some disappointments experienced together, championships won and cup finals lost, but the bond was immediately strong and indissoluble. Twelve months ago he left, leaving a great void, the desire to stay in Croatia had been too strong for an icy boy with a big heart, but from the words of the club and the player it was understood that it was not a real goodbye and so was. After the very difficult start to the season and especially after the disastrous away match in Reggio Calabria, on the very long return journey strictly by car, Paolo Ionetti and Roberto Osimani convinced him to return with a five minute call. Antonio played in his native Croatia until December but his Futsal Cesena needed him and he didn’t hold back. This is his score: 13 games played with 13 goals and 6 assists. Only one defeat in the last nine outings and play-offs just one point away at the end of the season. Writing anything else would therefore be superfluous. Between Cesena and Antonio there is always his Croatia that calls him back and he with his big heart goes and it will be a final goodbye, you can’t know, great loves never end but certainly in Cesena there are those who would like to see other episodes of this wonderful story. Goodbye Anto, the doors of Futsal Cesena will always be open for you

JAMICIC – Below are Jamicic’s words. “I consider this season to be very difficult but positive, both at team and individual level. The differences this year were many both on and off the pitch compared to the season in A2. Even though we didn’t have the same quality on the pitch the year before, with a lot of sacrifice and unity in the locker room we managed to achieve another very important goal.” The A2 elite level is very balanced but with the new rules for foreigners a drop in quality was inevitable. When I returned to Cesena I had set myself some goals which I managed to achieve but the best thing was having found old and new friends who were waiting for me in Cesena with open arms. For me they are special and even if our paths diverge I will always remain one of them. Thinking about the season that has just ended, the best match was against Sicurlube Regalbuto at home because it was the match that allowed us to reach safety. The best goal I scored was the one against Bulldog Capurso and I dedicate it to my coach Osimani who taught me to shoot from the front, although the one I liked more than the others was the first against Itria at home because the PalaPaganelli was full of Juventus fans. For the moment I have not made any decisions for my future regarding my career, but the first objective will certainly be to spend as much as possible with my family, which I have missed a lot in these five years of absences.”
