Turkish Airlines provided its support to the “Catania Corri” event, an initiative dedicated to promoting sport, well-being and an active lifestyle in the splendid city of Catania. Turkish Airlines’ commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle is reflected in its support of events such as “Catania Corri”, which encourage the local community to take care of their health through physical activity and sports involvement. The pulsating energy of the city combined with the passion for sport in the highly anticipated “Run Catania” event, which was held from 9 to 12 May in the streets of the Etna capital.
The event, organized by ‘In corsa’ SSD, with the patronage of the Municipality of Catania, kicked off on Thursday 9 May with four days full of initiatives that took place at the Corri Catania Village and culminated on Sunday 12 May with the solidarity run/walk. The “Corri Catania” is much more than a simple foot race: it is an engaging experience that unites the community, promoting an active lifestyle and solidarity among participants. With routes suitable for all fitness levels and a wide range of collateral activities: from the “Colors and words” competition to “Donate a t-shirt” through to the “street soccer cup tournament”. But also judo, karate, music, running, weight lifting and lots of fun. In short, “Corri Catania” is not just a race but a festival that has become bigger and bigger year after year.
Corri Catania is not only an opportunity to test your physical abilities, but also to support charitable causes. On the other hand, Turkish Airlines already has a close link with the city of Etna from where it flies 7 times a week, bringing tourists from all over the world to the Sicilian city!
