CIVITAVECCHIA (Rome) – Incredible result with which the Civitavecchia Volley Academy returns home from the S3 regional finals of 1st Level Mixed and 2nd Level Men.
The Mixed group is regional champion while the Male group, under the age of two, is vice champion.
Enormous satisfaction for the CVA and for the Manager of the Minivolley Sector Giorgio Piendibene and all the coaches and managers, in particular for coach Evelin Guanà and the manager Eleonora Manca who followed the athletes in this exciting regional adventure.
At the 1st Mixed level CVA participated with a group of athletes who easily won all the steps. In the final against Marino, an all-male team, the competition was very close with excellent phases of play and the partial ended 2-1 in favor of the Tigers who thus took home the regional title.
At the 2nd Men’s Level, however, the silver result comes with great satisfaction because 4 of the 6 athletes are under the age of two and were able to live a highly educational experience together with their slightly older teammates.
In the final for 1st-2nd place the age difference with the opponents made itself felt, as the team on the other side of the pitch was more physically structured and the goal was higher than some centremen. The orange athletes, not being able to go to the block, therefore, had to defend – excellently – all over the field, playing excellent volleyball for their age, and they held firm until the end and still won the second place cup.
