Arezzo – “Life project”, appointment in the Itis main hall
Arezzo – The event which will be held at 12pm at the Arezzo university campus will be a meeting dedicated to Ukrainian poetry. A lesson and reading in Ukrainian is planned, with translation into Italian, in the presence of the poets Iya Kiva and Iryna Shuvalova, invited by the chair of Slavic Studies of the Department of Philology and Criticism of Ancient and Modern Literatures of the University of Siena. The event is organized by visiting professor from Kyïv Yuliia Chernyshova and professor Alessandra Carbone. Some students from the LIMS master’s degree course in Languages for Business and Development will also participate and will read some translations taken from the “Poets of Ukraine” collections (edited by Alessandro Achilli and Yaryna Grusha Possamai, Mondadori Lo Specchio 2022) and “War is always sitting on all the chairs”, (translated and edited by Yuliia Chernyshova and Pina Piccolo, La vita happy, 2024). The presentation, which will be held within Professor Chernyshova’s Ukrainian Language and Culture course, is open to the public.
