Ancona, 13 May 2024 – Also this was a weekend affected by the checks arranged by Head of House Police Commissioner in the areas of the city centre, where checks continue in the streets most interesting for the influx of young and very young people and where, in addition to the organized demonstrations, citizens also find themselves perpetrators of damage, outrages, users of alcoholic and narcotic substances, protagonists of an inconvenience perceptible capable of generating a perception of insecurity in citizens who calmly walk in the streets of the city centre.
The State Police were there again this weekend. The checks also involved bus lines main roads which from the peripheral areas of the city are used by young people to reach the city center and which often become the scene of episodes of incivility.
Throughout the center there are policemen who, through patrolling the areas, always guarantee the maintenance of public order and safety.
During the Saturday service 132 people were checked, of which 64 had criminal records. Among these, a man – Tunisian born in 2006 – identified near Piazza Cavour, had an expired residence permit and without accompanying documents was reported in a state of freedom for the crime of illegal residence in the territory of the state pursuant to art. 10 bis of Legislative Decree 286/98. In the same area, another man – of Nigerian origin – aged around 40 – was invited to the offices in via Gervasoni in order to regularize his position on the national territory.
Finally, together with the Volanti policemen, two subjects were noted for their altered psycho-physical attitude due to the abuse of alcoholic substances. The two, a Ghanaian born in ’88 and a Nigerian born in ’89, both legal on the national territory, were sanctioned for the crime of drunkenness pursuant to art. 688 of the penal code, as both appeared particularly annoying and impaired to the point of not being able to stand up independently. .
