Rally Portugal: Dominguez secures big win in WRC3

Dominguezon board the Ford Fiesta Rally3finished the rally and reached the finish line with 48.5 seconds ahead of his closest pursuer, Mattéo Chattilonaboard one Renault Clio Rally3, after achieving an impressive haul of seven special stage victoriesfollowed in turn on the WRC3 podium, in third positionfrom Bruno Bulacia on Ford.

The Bolivian had impressed at the start of the race, also fighting with Dominguez for the category lead, before an overheating of the engine dashed his hopes on Saturday.

The fourth place finishobtained despite a power steering problem in the Amarante test, the longest of the entire rally, it was enough for Jan Černý to climb to second place in the Championship standings with her Ford Fiesta Rally3While Ghjuvanni Rossi (Clio Rally3) e Tristan Charpentier (Ford) closed, respectively, in fifth and sixth final positions.

This one final classification of the Rally of Portugal for the category Rally3:

Černý now trails Romet Jürgenson, who did not race in Portugal, by just six points in the WRC3 Championship standings.
