Here is the letter from the Extraordinary Commissioner SIN Emilio Errigo to the Municipality of Crotone relating to the summons to the City Council on 05.13.2024
LETTER
SUBJECT: City Council meeting of 13 May 2024
Dear Mr. Mayor, Mr. President,
in expressing my gratitude for the kind attention that the SS.LL. they have
wanted to reserve for the writer, inviting me to the meetings of the City Council which yes
will be held on 13 and 14 May 2024, despite myself I regret having to communicate the
my inability to be present on both dates indicated, for reason
of the pressure of institutional commitments that will necessarily see me present
in those days in Rome, at the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security
and other Public Administrations, aimed at finding shared solutions, for each
level, in favor of the SIN of Crotone – Cassano and Cerchiara of Calabria.
My firm will remains understood, reiterated repeatedly in all forums
public, to accelerate and bring to a successful conclusion all initiatives for exclusive benefit
of the community of Crotone and of all the territorial realities exposed for too many years to
risks to public health and the environment.
I will therefore be available to attend other meetings of the City Council,
starting from the second ten days of June 2024, on dates to be agreed between
respective Secretariats.
