They forced entry, entered undisturbed, took what they were interested in – entire boxes of clothes – and, equally undisturbed, left. The thieves in question – who acted in the night between Friday and Saturday – ‘hit’ a clothing shop in the central Piazza della Repubblica, in the heart of Perugia. Loot – reported by the newspaper ‘Il Messaggero-Umbria‘ in an article by Egle Priolo – it would be around 6 thousand euros between designer clothes and other items. Not money, since the register was empty, but they opened it anyway. When a passerby realized the robbery, on Saturday morning around 8, it was decidedly late to find and ‘catch’ the criminal – or criminals, if more than one – in the area. But the hope is that the state police investigations – including findings, cameras, possible witnesses – will be successful. There remains a certain dismay for the hours that pass between the event and its discovery, in what would be the ‘living room’ of the city. Where any fact should be immediately evident to those who populate it or pass by. But is not so.
