This morning, in the Meeting Room of the Lamezia Terme PS Commissariat, a ceremony took place during which they were handed over by the Police Commissioner, the manager of the Lamezia Terme PS Commissariat and the heads of the Specialty Offices of the State Police , some awards for particular service merit to employees of the State Police and the farewell medals, awarded by the Chief of Police – General Director of Public Security, to retired policemen.
At the start of the ceremony, four members of the State Police, who were granted Promotion for extraordinary merit on 27 March 2024 by order of the Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security, received a copy of the award decree in which they were highlighted their exceptional professional skills and the courage demonstrated during a public rescue activity. During the celebration of the next anniversary of the foundation of the State Police, they will be given the relevant award parchment.
During the ceremony, 1 Solemn Commendation and 6 Commendations were awarded to the staff working at the Lamezia Terme offices who demonstrated high professionalism and a spirit of self-sacrifice for the professionalism and spirit of self-sacrifice demonstrated.
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of 7 farewell medals to the retired personnel who, throughout their entire professional career, had constantly demonstrated their attachment to the State Police family. The Police Commissioner addressed them words of gratitude for the constant commitment dedicated to the community in the daily affirmation of the principles of legality and solidarity which constitute the deepest and most heartfelt reason for the policeman’s mission, which accompanies him throughout his life.
The ceremony was attended by the trade union organizations and the Lamezia Terme section of the National Association of State Police, together with members of the families of the winners and pensioners, who on the occasion presented a farewell certificate to all the pensioners.
