BASSANO IN TEVERINA – «It was 2009 when we started this extraordinary journey together. In these 15 years we have seen Bassano in Teverina change its face, grow and develop. And if this was possible, it is only because of the exceptional spirit of collaboration and trust between administrators and citizens that exists in Bassano: together we rolled up our sleeves and relaunched our extraordinary and beautiful municipality.” Thus the outgoing mayor, Alessandro Romoli, announces that he will once again take the field for his town. «In a few weeks we will go back to voting. We know it well, elections are the essence of democracy, a practice that gives true meaning to institutions. But at the same time they also represent a moment of taking stock and evaluating the administration’s work.
In recent years we have achieved many results together: from the redevelopment of the medieval village to its inclusion in the national tourist circuits, from the strengthening of welfare and school services to the support of cultural and sporting activities, from the realization of major public works that have changed the face of the country upon activation of the civil service. We have given Bassano in Teverina a centrality in Tuscia that it has never had. If until a few years ago ours was a town unknown to most, today it represents an example for all the municipalities of Tuscia, capable of attracting young families who decide to build their future in Bassano. I repeat: if we have done this, it is thanks to the extraordinary collaboration that has existed between administrators and citizens. And this is perhaps the result we are most proud of: having given our contribution to the creation of a compact and cohesive community.”
«Now however – continues Romoli – it is necessary to talk about the future. This is why, as the “Together to change” list – presented this morning at the municipal offices -, we will present our new electoral program for the next 5 years on Tuesday 14 May at 9.30 pm in Piazza Gramsci. We will explain how we imagine Bassano in Teverina in 2029 including interventions in urban planning, tourism, security, Pnrr, economic activities and services. For us, the electoral program has never been a book of dreams or a list of unattainable good intentions, but a real “contract” between the administration and the citizens, who have the right to find a response to it in municipal action. This is why I invite all of you to participate in Tuesday’s presentation together with the team we propose: Stefano Abati, Maurizio Deci, Rodolfo Felici, Agnese Gregori, Elide Pellegrini, Samantha Pompili, Marianna Troncarelli, Loris Turchetti, Daniele Venditti, Romolo Villa. If you want, I will be your mayor for another five years. And if you want, we can continue this growth path together”, concludes Romoli.
