The inspection activities involved various types of commercial activities, including construction companies, transport companies, restaurants and accommodation facilities with offices throughout the Province, including Foggia, Cerignola, Manfredonia, San Severo, Lucera and Vieste.
In this context, 34 employers were reported for the use of illegal or irregular labour.
Furthermore, as a result of further and autonomous interventions conducted to combat tax evasion, in the last month, the Fiamme Gialle have detected over 100 violations of the obligations of storing and sending electronic payments (tax receipts). Among the commercial establishments affected by the controls are companies present throughout the province and operating in the most diverse economic sectors.
Undeclared work and tax evasion constitute a serious obstacle to economic development because they distort competition and the allocation of resources, undermine the relationship of trust between citizens and the State and penalize equity, taking away space for intervention in favor of social groups weaker.
Hence the importance of the “surgical” action carried out by the Financial Police against tax evasion and “illegal” work.
