Curling, a sport with ancient Scottish roots dating back to the 1500s, stands out for its profound respect for the rules and the figure of the opponent. In particular, “stones” are used, granite disks from Scotland, which the players must slide on the ice to bring them as close as possible to the center of a circular goal called “house”. The team that places the greatest number of stones inside the house at the end of each “end” accumulates points.
The participants, elegant in their movements reminiscent of ice dancing, offer a fascinating show.
