A worker fell from a height of 30 meters to Salemi, in the Trapani area. The accident occurred inside the facility of a wind turbine. The Fire Brigade, the 118 medical emergency number and the local magistrate on duty intervened on site. There was no chance to save the man.
Wind turbine accident
A worker was working on one wind turbine in the territory of Salemiin the province of Trapani when it is fallen from aheight of 30 meters. The man died following the fall, which occurred inside the structure.
The firefighters are trying to recover the body of the worker, while healthcare personnel and the medical examiner also arrived on site. The local magistrate on duty is also expected.

Medical aid was useless. The man working on the wind turbine was located approximately 30 meters high when he lost control and fell. It was not possible to do anything but decree the tragic death, which marks yet another black day on the calendar in terms of workplace accidents.
The news comes a few days after the last serious accident at work and on the same day as the funeral of one of the victims of the Casteldaccia massacre, where 5 workers working in the sewers lost their lives.

It is, as many write, a real one massacre in the workplace. Since the beginning of the year, in just 5 months, I am more than 200 the workers who lost their lives in the workplace. What makes the numbers worse is the fact that these (191 to be precise) are only the deaths between January and February.
The INAIL count still needs to be updated (with the Segusino case for example), but it can only get worse. In fact, in the months of March, April and May the rate of lives lost due to accidents at work did not decrease, with multiple cases such as Casteldaccia or the case of the Bargi hydroelectric power plant.
