CERVETERI – Bed covers, doilies, blankets, sheets … those that mothers and grandmothers once made by hand with so much dedication and love, full of lace and lace. A true reminder of the good old days where traditions were handed down from generation to generation. And so, for the feast of the Patron Saint, San Michele Arcangelo, in Cerveteri, via Etruria is transformed into the street of lace by the union of the districts of the Etruscan city. On display is the collection of trousseaus from Cerveteri’s grandmothers and mothers. A real open-air exhibition that can also be visited tomorrow.
In Cerveteri the lace route for San Michele Arcangelo
But the celebrations for San Michele Arcangelo do not end here. Weekend full of events and appointments promoted by the administration and which saw the districts roll up their sleeves. They range from “At the table with the Rioni” in Piazza Aldo Moro, to the children’s market (where you can exchange toys) in Piazza Santa Maria, passing through the exhibition “The heritage rediscovered in Cerveteri” in Case Grifoni. And again the wine square in Piazza Risorgimento which will also host “The Cervetrano living room”. There will also be events dedicated to the mother on the occasion of her party (scheduled for tomorrow). The appointment is right on the Belvedere with the contest and selfie set with the mothers. And many more shows for adults and children. The Wheelchair Grand Prix will return this year, now in its second edition. Appointment at 6pm in via delle Mura Castellane. In short, a great celebration where the soul of the Etruscan city takes the field.
