The Santa Croce-Carle hospital in Cuneo is among the first centers in Europe and the first in Piedmont to use the new TAVI (Edwards Sapien Ultra Resilia) aortic valve and implant it in a patient on May 9th. Cuneo Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, once again, offer the most innovative technologies to their patients. “A great achievement – says Roberta Rossini, director of Cardiology at the S. Croce e Carle Hospital -, the result of an efficient organisation, which believes in innovation and works every day to guarantee its patients the best care. This result it would never have been achieved if the organizational machine, which goes from the strategic management of the Company, led by Dr. Tranchida, to the administrative offices and the hospital pharmacy, had not believed in the project and worked synergistically to achieve the common objective”. “The patient we treated – concludes Doctor Giorgio Baralis – underwent the procedure while awake, spoke with us during the operation, and will be able to return to his activities in the next few days, as the recovery is extremely rapid of the cardio-anesthetists and all the staff of the sector who, with competence and dedication, make all this possible”.
