Caught in their sleep
Once again, the constant monitoring of the territory carried out by the soldiers of the Carabinieri has made it possible to identify and dismantle, in a very short time, a drug dealing point in the woods. At the first light of dawn the operation was launched which led to the arrest of the two subjects, who were caught sleeping inside a camping tent where they took refuge at the end of days spent dealing. The bivouac had been set up in an impervious wooded area, far from the daily selling point, recreating a habitat in which they had obtained the minimum and necessary comforts to make up for the rigors of nights spent in the open. However, the drug dealers had not taken into account the determination, patience and investigative acumen of the men of the force whose professionalism paid off this time too.
Escaped in March
One of the two arrested he managed to escape capture during the operation on March 25th coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Busto Arsizio, during which the Carabinieri had executed 17 precautionary custody orders in prison in the provinces of Varese and Milan, allowing the dismantling of an organized criminal association dedicated to drug dealing in wooded areas, of which the person arrested today was also part. The investigative activity had made it possible to document, among other things, approximately 11,200 sales of narcotic substances. An impressive number which highlights the seriousness of the phenomenon and which, despite the reporting to the competent authorities of around 160 hirers and the withdrawal of 99 driving licences, has not discouraged buyers, who they keep going into the woods looking for “stuff” to buy, contributing to the thriving business of drug dealers. The doors of the Busto Arsizio prison have opened for both foreigners, waiting to be interrogated by the judicial authorities.
