THETaranto Comix on the sea is now a reality! After two fantastic editions, the Taranto Comix “Sunny, Funny… Happy Days” returns next May 11th and 12th with its third edition. Coming from all over, comics and video game enthusiasts meet at the Mon Reve Ecogreen Resort ****. There is also space for families with numerous activities for children.

The event dedicated to comics, cosplay and video games has become one of the most anticipated events in Puglia, attracting enthusiasts and professionals from all over our region and from Italy.

The task of giving a face to this edition was entrusted to the German author Stephanie Hermesbetter known by the name s0s2, this is to proceed with the internationalization of the event. Its presence is also linked to a theme very dear to Taranto Comix, namely the protection of the marine environment. His little mermaid Tidy arrived in Taranto on the backs of dolphins protected by the Jonian Dolphin Conservation. The two realities will meet on the Mon Reve stage to talk about eco-sustainability.

What’s new in this edition of the Taranto Comix “Sunny, Funny… Happy Days”?

The first big news of this edition is the presence of many guests highly appreciated by the public. Here’s who they are, in detail:

  • Maurizio Merluzzo, a well-known voice actor and content creator, followed for years on all social media. We have kept a long-standing promise to our audience. Maurizio will be present on Sunday 12 May with an improvised dubbing show on stage and a double meet & greet with the public;
  • Gianluca IaconoVegeta’s voice arrives at One of the most histrionic voice actors on the national scene awaits his audience over the two days with events on stage and meet & greets;
  • Yoshiko Watanabe, our first Japanese guest. Princess Sapphire, Astro Boy and Kimba are just some of the glorious anime that sensei helped create over the course of A Big Name, another sign of the event’s strong growth.
  • Krisfits, influencer and content creator, followed by all manga enthusiasts, specializing in the hentai genre. For the more passionate, the author will hold a private meeting at the Mon Reve bistro (seats can be booked, while supplies last, on Eventbrite).

Obviously there’s a lot of space for comics and those who make them. The Taranto Comix audience will have the opportunity to meet and learn about:

  • The Mustache, born Giulio Mosca, is a cartoonist / poet who became famous for his sentimental-themed cartoons. At Taranto Comix presents “Salsedine”, his latest work for Feltrinelli Comics;
  • thanks to the collaboration with Saldapress, the artist alley of Taranto Comix will host Frektscreenwriter of the comic “Ramiro” as well as a well-known standup comedian, and the couple Alessandro Ranaldi And Vincenzo Mirraauthors of the comic “New Taste”, previewed in Taranto.

The space dedicated to children and families is unmissable. Thanks to the collaboration with the Mondadori Bookstore in Via De Cesare, 35 – Taranto, we have the pleasure of hosting Ameli who has included Taranto in a tour of very few stops in which he will present his book “The rhythm of dreams”, out on May 7th and copies of which will be available at the Taranto Comix.

The collaboration with Tunuè continues, which for this edition presents volumes dedicated to two very strong characters: Sonic and Spongebob. All children will be able to take part in quizzes dedicated to them and have fun drawing and coloring the famous hedgehog and the famous sponge (in the Grafite Kids area).

Two other great new features are:

  • Marvel Breakdown, a debate on the current health of Marvel superhero films. Saturday 11 May, round table with Zeth Castle And Pino Cuozzo (the latter returns to Taranto after many years to present, among other things, his new project).
  • Apulia Gamingfor the first time at Taranto Comix we will have 8 stations with cutting-edge driving simulators (in the panoramic terrace area).

THE STAGE

All the guests and the activities mentioned will mainly take place on the stage of the Taranto Comix entrusted to the management of the stainless steel Francesco and Riccardo and by the showman Giovanni “Zeth Castle” Zaccaria who, in addition to having put together most of the contents planned for these two days, returns to Taranto with two unmissable INK WARSthat is, the challenge between cartoonists who draw live while they tell their stories:

SEA VIEW PLAY AREA

It is confirmedPlay Area, edited by MEK TOYS of Talsano and in collaboration with DV Games / Ghenos and the Association The Goblin Den (Taranto). All the new products from Ghenos and Dv Giochi will be presented.

Return the Jonici Modellers Group which will reward the little ones with assembly kits and a modeling workshop.

The great novelty of this edition is represented by the presence of Delorean DMC-12directly from the film Back to the Future

ACTIVITIES DEDICATED TO CHILDREN

In addition to the entire gemes area mentioned above and the many guests dedicated to them, the younger ones will put their creativity to the test by taking part in the free drawing courses organized by Graphite Kids. Not only that, with the “Cosplay Challenge Kids”, very young cosplayers will be able to wear the clothes of their favorite characters.

COSPLAY

And speaking of cosplay, it certainly couldn’t be missing this year too Cosplay competition – thanks to the collaboration of Lady Nakama of the Nakama Comics&Manga – with the canonical parade on Saturday and the awards ceremony on Sunday. Extremely fierce cosplayers will compete by parading on an exciting and imaginative catwalk and will show off their costumes to win the title of: Best Male CosplayBest Female CosplayBest Cosplay Group – Best Cosplay overall.

There will be no shortage of thematic gatherings for all cosplayers, including:

  • Genshin Impact & Star Railrally organized by Got Puglia (Sunday 12 May);
  • Mismatched Cosplay (like socks), mega gathering designed for everyone here more “lonely” cosplay.

This gathering is also organized by Otaku.

ARTIST ALLEY, COMICS SCHOOL, PUBLISHING HOUSES

The Taranto Comix will always give maximum prominence to authors and publishers, especially local ones.
