“I urge Minister Piantedosi to address the problem of the Roma camp in Giugliano, which we have had for decades”. Thus the governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, which also refers to the reports made by some citizens of thefts that occurred along the coastal strip of Giugliano. “I learned that the prefect has activated a committee for public order and safety”continues De Luca and announced that the Region will finance the installation of some cameras “to lend a hand in controlling incidents of delinquency”. Everyone knows, however, that the responsibility regarding Roma camps lies with the Region and not with the Government. A region that in recent years has always dumped everything on the municipalities, Qualiano and Giugliano.
Vincenzo De Luca’s quackery is pathological, he pretends to suddenly notice the Roma camp in Giugliano and what’s more he washes his hands of it, pretending that the national government is the one to solve the problem. It has at home the solution to deal with the emergency, not only in Giugliano but throughout the Campania region: for years now, with the Lega’s advisory group, I have presented a bill for the clearing of illegal camps and the redevelopment of vast areas of Campania that are in total abandonment, degradation and complete illegality. Instead of scheduling our proposal, the President of the Region prefers to continue with the lies, with the inability, the inaction and the no regardless which are increasingly destroying our territories. Shame on you.” This was stated by Severino Nappi, leader of the League in the Campania Regional Council.
