The challenge of rewriting the PUMS begins in Busto. But the League isn’t there

BUSTO ARSIZIO – The majority is ready to launch the work of rewriting the PUMSthe Urban Sustainable Mobility Plan proposed by the councilor for the match Salvatore Loschiavo, but the League was absent from the meeting where this hypothesis was discussed. The idea that emerged at the summit is that of review the Plan point by point, correcting the critical issues. But the story it could open a political case Bustocco in the centre-right.

Political case?

The absence from the meeting of working group within the majority of the Northern League representatives would have been the result of a “qui pro quo” on the call, but it is a fact not to be underestimated with respect to internal relations among the allies. In fact, the centre-right groups discussed the possibility of carrying forward the already mentioned rewriting of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan with respect to the document presented by councilor Loschiavo and rejected across the board by the majority. It would be a matter for the working group to evaluate the observations to the PUMS point by point to arrive at a new version probably very different but always able to give an idea of the direction in which the city will go in terms of mobility. Also so as not to lose the 93 thousand euros spent on the professional assignment.

The mystery of the summons

The meeting had been called for yesterday evening, May 9, but the external representative designated by the Northern League, the former minister Francesco Enrico Speroni, had announced his availability for 6.30 pm, when however the meeting of the social services commission was scheduled at Palazzo Gilardoni. So, to last minute request from the Northern League to postpone the meeting, the rest of the majority shrugged. And at the end the meeting was held, without the League. Present instead were representatives of Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia and Lista Antonelli.

The doubts of Lega and FdI

After all, it’s no mystery that the Northern League would like to undermine the PUMS no ifs or buts, even at the cost of losing the money for the task entrusted to the technicians. In the centre-right, however, he would have prevailed the line of revision of the Plan, also requested by Mayor Antonelli with the support of his List. Also Fratelli d’Italia, present at the meeting (also this time without Max Rogorathe most bitter critic of the PUMS), would not have opposed the idea of starting the rewriting work, even if postponing a definitive position to the decision of the Club, which will be expressed after an internal discussion.
