Pope Francis’ visit to Verona, scheduled for Saturday 18 May, will attract around 50,000 people.

Tickets for the Mass at the Bentegodi stadium, preceded by the youth celebration, and for the meeting of children and young people in Piazza San Zeno are sold out.

However, there are still places available for the “Arena of Peace”. Participants in the events will be able to use the ATV bus services which will follow the Saturday timetable. Furthermore, a free shuttle service has been organized to connect the places of the visit with the car parks designated by the Local Police to welcome visitors.

At 6.30, Piazza San Zeno will open to welcome 5,400 children and young people up to eighth grade, with parents, teachers and catechists. At the same time, the Basilica of San Zeno will also open for the 850 priests, religious men and women and nuns, until 8.00.

The Arena will open its gates at 7.00 and 12,500 participants will be able to enter until 9.00. The event will start at 8.45am and end at 12.30pm. From 11.00 it will be possible to access the Bentegodi stadium, where 31,000 participants will have three hours to enter.

Tickets for all events are nominative and identification may be required upon entry. Furthermore, there is a dedicated sector for people with disabilities at each event.

Three parking areas with free shuttle service are available: park C of the stadium, with shuttle only to San Zeno, park P3 and P7 of the Fiera, with shuttles to the stadium and the Arena.

THE FLIGHT

After last year’s triumph, from Tuesday 14 May “Il Volo – Tutti per Uno” returns in prime time on Canale 5, a three-evening event directly from the Verona Arena.

The trio composed of Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble and Ignazio Boschetto will host the first evening, with the special participation of Giorgia. The show, created by Michele Torpedine, promises great music with the presence of renowned artists and unique moments.

The guests of the first episode include names such as Claudio Baglioni, Francesco De Gregori, Alessandra Amoroso, Roberto Vecchioni, Gaetano Curreri, Mara Sattei and Giorgio Panariello.

After the launch of their first album of unreleased songs, “Ad Astra”, released on March 29, and the success of the first four stages of their World Tour in Japan, Il Volo celebrates 15 years of an extraordinary career on Canale 5.

Between June and September, the trio will leave for 20 summer concerts in the most evocative places in Italy, while in 2025 they will embark on a tour of the United States, Canada and Latin America.

“Il Volo – Tutti per Uno” is produced by FriendsTv and directed by Luigi Antonini.
