UGL Salute Sicilia has a new regional secretary. It is Francesco Felice Scaduto, born in Enna on 26 November 1961, who succeeds Carmelo Urzì. Nurse since 1985, he later specialized in Nephrology and Dialysis Techniques. He has obtained the qualification of workplace safety manager in all macro-sectors and is an instructor in first aid courses. For several years he has been involved in the union with UGL Salute.
“I am enormously gratified by the appointment – declares Scaduto – and I make my professional and trade union experience available to UGL and all the workers. I gather a growing regional secretariat, thanks to the work done by Urzì, and my aim is to give further impetus to our acronym by following a unitary path, made of comparison and ideas. We have achieved great results, I am thinking of stabilizations, and we look forward to the next RSU elections to consolidate our positions within Sicilian companies. We are and will always be alongside healthcare workers to defend their rights and dignity.”
Scaduto receives encouragement from the National Secretary Gianluca Giuliano. “I wish Francesco, on behalf of the entire Federation, good work, certain that his enthusiasm and experience will be able to give a further boost to UGL Salute in a field where over the years we have received increasingly greater support. Every province, every structure will see us present to collect the requests of professionals. Even in Sicily, safety in the workplace will be a priority, as at a national level. I am sure that we will increasingly strengthen our positions in the name of social justice” concludes Giuliano.
