There is a project on abandoned banking concessions in the center of Vasto Marina. A company from Campobasso presented it to the town hall’s urban planning sector in recent months. Specifically, the proposal presented by the Molise company provides for the installation of structures compatible with the Maritime State Property Plan in the seaside resort, plus interventions in favor of the Municipality of Vasto, i.e. the creation of equipped areas in the space between the concession and the pavement of Cordella seafront. The investigation phase is underway. The municipal offices, in addition to deciding whether to grant the large area to the proposing company, will evaluate the public utility of the compensation.
Uncertainty
We are in regulatory chaos, while negotiations between the government and the European Union continue and the Municipalities move in no particular order. In recent days they have received a letter from the AGCM (competition and market authority) inviting them to complete the tender to assign the beaches. In Vasto, the Menna administration was urged to take action by the same centre-left majority [LEGGI].
Between the European Bolkestein directive and the sentences of the Council of State, the path seemed to be clear for the coastal municipalities: no extensions, but a new tender for the assignment of beach concessions. There recent decision by the Regional Administrative Court of Bari out of 21 concessions on the Monopoli coast, the issue is once again called into question.
