Education, new digital technologies are arriving in Sicily to support school administrations

New digital technologies, training and support for Sicilian school administrations. One predicts it cooperation agreement signed between USR Sicily and the University of Salento. Deepen knowledge, values, norms and practices for a correct use of new digital technologies in the administrations of Sicilian schools.

With this objectiveL’regional school office for Sicily and the department of human and social sciences of the University of Salento have signed a collaboration agreement to train and support schools in the region with targeted interventions for the development of skills, services and projects of excellence. The Modict Observatory (Mediterranean observatory on digital culture & tourism), coordinated by professor Marco Mancarella, activated within the department of human and social sciences directed by professor Mariano Longo, is committed to the development of digital skills, also in the school environment, therefore aimed at the full realization of a “digital culture” of citizens, in compliance with the digital administration code (cad).

As first implementation step of the agreementSicilian schools will be among the first in Italy to equip yourself with a conservation manual of electronic documents. There collaboration between Usr Sicilia and UniSalento also provides for the periodic production of a newsletter with useful information for schools in the field of innovation and digitalization processes. A special section will be created on the institutional website of the regional school office for Sicily which will collect the material and documentation created as part of the agreement.
