Yesterday, during the preliminary hearing presided over by the preliminary hearing judge Susanna De Felice, the request for testing for a 35-year-old man was rejectedwith a criminal record, resident in the San Paolo district and linked to a well-known boss of the Strisciuglio clan. This man is charged with assaulting his daughter’s teachera teenage student at the Ettore Majorana institute.
The 35-year-old’s defense tried to obtain probation, but the judge rejected the request. Consequently, the man, defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Giulitto, opted for the abbreviated procedure. A similar decision was also made by the co-defendant, a 30-year-old man assisted by the lawyer Rosita Vigneri, a friend of the family who accompanied his father to school that day. The hearing has been set for October 10th. The crimes charged include interruption of public service and injuries. During the hearing, Professor Vincenzo Amorese, victim of the attack, presented a civil action assisted by the lawyer Renato Bucci.
The episode dates back to September 23, 2022, a few days after the start of the school year, at the Ettore Majorana institute in the San Paolo district. The violent father ended up under house arrest on 12 October of the same year, after having been free for three months.
The man never denied the attack, which was documented by the school’s security cameras and described not only by the victim but also by some teachers who were eyewitnesses. She attempted to justify her action as a reaction to an alleged message sent by her daughter regarding unspecified attentions from the professor. This part of the investigation has been closed. The professor, who currently works in Lombardy after moving for safety reasons, has never had inappropriate behavior towards students.
According to the professor’s complaint, that morning in class he had repeatedly called the attention of the student who had arrived late without permission, causing a disturbance during the lesson. Despite her warnings, the student encouraged her classmates not to follow the lesson. The professor then filled out a disciplinary note on the register.
During another lesson, the man was suddenly called out of the classroom by an individual who violently confronted him, hitting him repeatedly until he loses his balance and stuns him. The attacker was identified as the student’s father, assisted by the friend who had accompanied him to school. Now the man is accused of having acted in concert with his friend, while the student is involved in juvenile proceedings as an alleged instigator.
