MARSALA(TP) – The smile of Marisa Leo, the 39 year old from Salemi, the fighter who fell in September at the hands of her ex-partner, will continue to shine in the dedicated room in the new “Johnn Woodhouse” wine museum in Marsala which will be inaugurated on Sunday May 12th at 12.00 by the mayor Massimo Grillo, in the historic Palazzo Fici.
The memory of Marisa Leo does not stop and never will- says Antonina Cammarata, Marisa’s mother and president of the Marisa Leo Aps association– As Marisa’s parents we are honored to be present at the inauguration of the room dedicated to our daughter inside the Wine Museum of Marsala, a city that she loved very much and we are grateful to the mayor Grillo and the administration of the municipality of Marsala who made all this possible.”
Marketing and communication manager in the wine sector, Donna del Vino Sicilia, Marisa Leo, a sunny, cultured woman, tireless in her daily commitment to sharing the culture of respect, continues to be there with the Association dedicated to her. Presented last February 18th at the Sollima theater in Marsala, the city to which Marisa was linked, the “Marisa Leo – association for the culture of respect – in these few but intense months of activity, has become the spokesperson for the young woman’s mission: « The greatness of a person is measured by how much he manages to change the lives of the people he meets on his path for the better”, the guiding words of Marisa Leo which inspire the association which also has among its objectives the economic support of the vulnerable people, especially children, affected by gender violence.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Wine Museum, the artist’s painting will be placed Fabio Ingrassia, author of the mural that was later removed, with the writing that has become emblematic of the struggle of Marisa Leo and all women “ My essence is not a bargaining chip.”
