For the third time the Local Police surprised and sanctioned a business that did not comply with the union ordinance which limits the hours of use of slot machines and VTLs. A fine of 500 euros was notified to the managers of a place in the center, where on Tuesday 7 May 2024 all the slot machines present were found operating during one of the prohibited times.

In the city there are 32 businesses where there are gaming machines with cash winnings up for grabs, they are checked periodically by the Administrative and Food Police to verify compliance with the activation times. The checks take place unannounced, at any opening time.

This is the third violation with a fine of 500 euros being issued to the theater managers.

The ordinance was signed on January 9, 2024: it reduces the opening hours of game rooms, VTL rooms, betting shops and the use of slot machines in places that make them available. Gaming activities must be stopped every day of the week from 7.30 to 9.30, from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 19.00 to 21.00.
