Attack in Udine, fear for a mother and her 2 children

More violence in Borgo Stazione in Udine. The latest episode occurred late yesterday afternoon in Viale Leopardi when a man of foreign nationality threw a bottle at a woman’s carfor no apparent reason, shattering the rear window and putting the lives of the victim’s two children, aged 4 and 6, at risk.

Fortunately, the two children did not suffer serious injuries, but were immediately transported by ambulance to pediatric emergency room of the Santa Maria della Misericordia to undergo thorough medical checks.

The situation escalated quickly, with the assailant attempting to flee the crime scene, but was promptly dispatched blocked by the police and the local police, with the assistance of the Army. The man was arrested and detained for further investigation into the motive behind the senseless attack on him.

The accident sparked panic among the residents of Borgo Stazione, with dozens of people pouring into the street and on the balconies of the surrounding buildings, attracted by the screams and sirens of the police. As the attacker was taken away, cheers of relief and shouts of anger could be heard directed at the man.
