“A festival dedicated to our neighborhood and our territory, to the creativity of the hands and the artistic back shop of Salt Theatre. A great tribute to Sant’Ambrogio and his SALT so much loved by Fabio”. These are the words of Maria Cassi to celebrate the second edition of the SALE Sant’Ambrogio in Festival festival, four days of events dedicated to the neighborhood of the same name and its community building.
Many initiatives have been developed in all the artisan workshops and neighborhood shops, as well as the dinners and special events that will characterize the event. The program, from the theme The Places and the Cityto explore the importance of meeting places – physical and spiritual, imaginary and ideal – which define the concept of the city also as a cultural identity.
The festival is also an opportunity to pay homage, as remembered by Giulio PicchiFather Fabio and all the souls who made Sant’Ambrogio the “most beautiful neighborhood in the world” characterized “by the energy left as a legacy”. Many confirmations of the activities promoted and the shops that participated last year, such as the “people’s dinner”, with the three most important religious communities in the neighborhood. This year too, the dinner on Thursday evening, May 30th, will inaugurate the Festival. “Dinner in the Mediterranean” will put the most symbolic place of the birth of civilization at the center; present the Christian Community with Father Bernardo, Abbot of San Miniato al Monte, the Jewish Community with Rabbi Gadi Piperno and the Muslim Community with Imam Izzedin Elzir. The big event on Saturday has also been confirmed but with something new: a big dinner-event with a special guest who is – to date – a real TV star, Eleonora Risowinner of Masterchef, with whom a four-handed dinner will be created that celebrates both the Cibrèo identity with its chefs and the creativity and beautiful victory of Eleonora.
The grand finale of SALE Sant’Ambrogio in festival will be held in Piazza dei Ciompi, with a charity dinner organized with the collaboration of the chefs of the most important and prestigious hotels in Florence including the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence with Chef Paolo Lavezzini, the Hotel Savoy with Giovanni Cosmai, Palazzo Portinari Salviati with Vito Mollica, Il Salviatino with Rudy Saderi and the ‘Hotel Regency with Claudio Lopopolo together with the Executive Chef Oscar Severini who with the brigade of the Cibrèo Group and the Hotel Helvetia & Bristol will give life to this dinner which will be characterized by the collaboration of the Arthur Murray Dance Center, known as the largest and prestigious ballroom dance company in the world with over 280 schools. The collaboration with Scuola-Città Pestalozzi also returns, which saw the creation of an interdisciplinary laboratory with the aim of producing artistic works after a first visit to the Teatro del Sale, supported in this edition by the collaboration with the historic Saffi Professional Hotel Institute of Florence , which for the occasion joins the Teatro del Sale in organizing the evening dedicated to the famous chef Fabio Picchi.
