The CISL FP of Reggio Calabria has expressed serious criticism of the 2023/2025 Integrated Organizational Structure Plan (PIAO), believing that it does not adequately reflect the organizational model of the municipal body. The union especially contested the elimination of professional profiles at the municipal library, ignoring the successes achieved thanks to the dedication and professionalism of the staff.
The requests made by CISL FP include more dynamic programming, a targeted selection of professions and skills needed in public administrations, but all have been ignored by the body.
In the current update of the PIAO 2024/2026, we find a requirement forecast for 2024 that does not take into account the real needs of the institution, with a lack of internal progressions and an excessive use of temporary contracts.
The CISL FP criticized the administration’s inertia in promoting insolvency procedures to guarantee stability and professionalisation of the staff. Furthermore, he denounced the failure to pay the sums owed to the workers and the questionable management of some external tasks.
All this happens despite the complaints expressed by the Mayor regarding the lack of qualified professionals and the precarious financial situation of the institution. CISL FP concludes by underlining the sacrifice of staff and their families, who continue to suffer the consequences of inefficient administrative policies that are disinterested in the well-being of employees.
