The extraordinary control services of the territory by the Police continue, with the support of the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, RPC and Municipality in the province of Massa Carrara.
The activity of the police forces it was concentrated in Massa in the places where people gather most and near the railway station, while in Carrara it took place in the most isolated areas to prevent drug dealing and in particular thefts in homes, as well as along the coast.
Numerous checkpoints were also carried out to combat the serious phenomena of driving while intoxicated and under the influence of drugs.
Overall they were identified 193 people and checked 113 vehicles and found 3 violations of the Highway Code, of which 2 due to incomplete vehicle efficiency and one due to cell phone use while driving.
In view of the approaching summer season, the constant activity carried out by the Police Headquarters,
through the widespread control of the territory, it aims to increase the perception of safety by citizens and tourists, encouraging the peaceful development of civil coexistence.
