Fermana, D’Angelo and Silva away from the nursery

After Fermana’s relegation to Serie D, the discussion on the yellow-blue youth sector was back at the center of attention. A discussion that has been treated with disdain for too long within the Fermo environment. And it seems that the nursery crisis has no end. Gianfranco D’Angelo and Massimo Silva, respectively coordinator of the youth sector (even if in the guise of “external consultant”) and coach of the Primavera 3 have been dismissed. D’Angelo, who arrived in Fermo last year as manager of the National Under 19 team, had become a champion for saving the club by trying to involve Nicola di Matteo. The Abruzzo entrepreneur, who last summer was very close to taking over the shares of Fermana, had then denied everything by distancing himself from D’Angelo’s statements (the two had worked together in Grosseto but nothing more).

The latter had also been linked to Fano as a possible new sporting director, but he denied the rumours. D’Angelo had brought Massimo Silva to Fermo by placing him on the bench of the yellow-blue team that played in Primavera 3: not an excellent portion of the season for the former Ascoli player, after the first part with Giandomenico. Salvation achieved however, thanks to a relegated Taranto in clear difficulty. The point is that Primavera has far from finished its season. In fact, on the horizon there is the Carlini-Orselli Tournament, which will start on May 13th while the final is scheduled for June 23rd. Massimo Silva will not be on the bench of the Primavera della Fermana team: in his place there will most likely be Luca Pavoni, current coach of the Gialloblù’s Under 19 national team. We remind you that, if Fermana were to restart from Serie D, the discussion below would be crucial. The National Amateur League has ordered a reduction in the number of under 20s to be compulsory on the pitch for next season. We will go from four to three, but they still remain fundamental. But in any case, as far as the unders are concerned, we hope to think about it later when Fermana is certain of playing at least the fourth series. Now all attention is towards the end of May, when the answers for the debt restructuring will have to arrive. It will be an anxious month, a climate to which Fermo fans are now accustomed, given the changes in recent years.
