Mayor Giuseppe Falcomatà and the municipal administration of Reggio Calabria «welcome the decision of the Superintendence to revoke the restriction of considerable public interest on the consolidated urban area called Piano De Nava».
«The provision – specified Falcomatà – avoids any type of pronouncement by the TAR and demonstrates, rather, the great sensitivity of the superintendent Maria Mallemace in acknowledging the concerns raised by the body which collected and interpreted the observations from the associations of category and professional orders with respect to a procedure that would have affected a very large part of the city rebuilt after the 1908 earthquake”.
«Now – argued Falcomatà – it will be necessary to strengthen the constructive discussion with the professional associations, also with respect to some critical issues raised on the municipal structural plan. In any case, the urban and architectural structure of Reggio, once again, consolidates its foundations on concertation and the capacity for inter-institutional dialogue which are confirmed as the only possible strategy for the growth and harmonious development of the territory”.
