Perugia, he burns himself while cooking: he dies after two days of agony

The eighty-year-old who was burned in her home in Madonna Alta (Perugia) did not make it. The pensioner died at the Santa Chiara large burns centre, where she had been transported by air ambulance due to the very serious injuries she sustained. The news is reported by newspapers.

Elderly woman with burns: dies in agony According to what emerged, the elderly woman was cooking a meal when she got too close to the lit stove and the flames reached the scarf she was wearing around her neck. Her neighbors came to her aid because the eighty-year-old asked for help from the balcony of her house. The 118 personnel, firefighters and police then intervened on site to carry out all the necessary investigations. The apartment, however, was already safe when the authorities arrived, that is, there was no fire in progress, because the flames had been put out by the neighbors. In the meantime, the eighty-year-old was transported by ambulance to Santa Maria in Perugia, where the emergency room staff immediately opted to transfer her to a specialized facility, where the elderly woman died in the last few hours. As usual, the Perugia Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the incident.
