In Piazza Duomo to observe the stars

Noses in the air and eyes in the sky tomorrow, Saturday 11 May, in Piazza del Duomo, where from 8.45 pm it will be possible to observe the sky through the use of telescopes. The event is completely free and is part of the second edition of “Let’s rediscover Pisa”series of 100 free guided tours.

The Municipality of Pisa organizes the evening, dedicated to the astronomical observation of celestial objects, in collaboration with the group “Amateur astronomers Tampiano“, which will make available experience, equipment and tools appropriately equipped for both ocular vision and photographic shooting, and with the support and availability of theOpera of the Primaziale Pisana.

For the occasion, it will be possible to admire an unprecedented Piazza del Duomo, with reduced lighting to allow the telescopes to detect the faint light of the objects in the celestial vault, chosen for observation. The program includes the meeting at 8.45 pm, greetings from the Archbishop Giovanni Paolo Benotto and therefore the beginning of astronomical observations.
