Also the Port of Ravenna at Macfrut, the international fruit and vegetable supply chain fair inaugurated yesterday in Rimini in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Francesco Lollobrigida. For the occasion, in addition to the Macfrut president Renzo Piraccini, the president of the Region Stefano Bonaccini and the Agriculture Councilor of Puglia Donato Pentassuglia were present. Macfrut 2024 is the place where operators and buyers from the entire supply chain meet, a strategic sector of Made in Italy agri-food so much so that it is worth 50 billion euros for the entire supply chain. This year the fair reached record numbers with over 1,400 exhibitors, of which 40% were from abroad.
The Port System Authority of the central-northern Adriatic Sea – Port of Ravenna is present at stand n.196 Pavilion B5 together with various operators of the Port of Ravenna including Terminal Container Ravenna, the Shipping Houses Olympia di Navigazione, Sagem/Sfacs and DCS Tramaco. The presence of Promos Italia, the Agency for the internationalization of companies of which the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara and Ravenna is a founding member, was decisive, as part of the collaboration recently started for joint promotion actions on foreign markets, which organized the incoming in Ravenna of a delegation of Turkish exporters interested in deepening relations with the port of Ravenna. Furthermore, several bilateral meetings are scheduled with representatives/operators from various Middle Eastern countries.
