Politics

Sergio Ferrero, former secretary of the League, joins Forza Italia VdA. This was announced by the regional coordinator of Forza Italia Emily Rini on the occasion of the press conference to present the candidate for the next European elections Marco Reguzzoni.

Ferrero was entrusted with the coordination of Come on North, the committee chaired by the former Northern League mayor Flavio Tosi. «An area within Forza Italia – underlines Rini – which wants to defend and fight for the northern question. Many profess to be federalists and autonomists but few really are.”

The presentation

«I believe that – said Ferrero -, with the joint effort of Forza Italia and the EPP, we will be able to improve the conditions of businesses, which are the driving force of the North».

Rini added: «Our region is small but full of interests, it is in the heart of Europe and needs to be represented in Europe. And Marco Reguzzoni, who lives most of the time in Torgnon, can do it.”

The candidate

The entrepreneur from Varese, president of the “I Repubblicani” association, is a candidate in the European elections on 8 and 9 June, “as an independent”, on the Forza Italia list for the North-West constituency.

Reguzzoni claimed: «I am a convinced federalist and I would like Europe to become one» and is ready to sign a contract with the Valle d’Aosta. “I am committed to dealing with infrastructure and finding European funds.” He mentions the doubling of Mont Blanc and the development of the airport.

Three other key points of the electoral program are the protection of work, of professions linked to the mountains, tourism and agri-food and the environment.

Comments

Luca Girasole he underlined: «Reguzzoni is a candidate from Valle d’Aosta in all respects and the useful vote is the one given to Forza Italia to count more in the European Parliament».

For Orlando Navarra by Noi Moderati «being part of Europe does not mean dropping one’s pants and the Aosta Valley must be able to defend itself in Brussels.
