It wasn’t enough to win the championship that brought Vigevano back to Promotion. Since last night Norberto Castellazzi is no longer the coach of the Biancoceleste team. The news was communicated to him by president Gianni Speciale and sports director Fabio Mullanu. “The whole company – says the latter – intends to thank Norberto for the excellent work done during this year, but we decided to make a technical change for the new category. It wasn’t easy to make this decision, but that’s how football goes. At the moment we have only started a series of contacts to identify the successor. I think there will be some news in the next few days.”

Castellazzi, obviously, didn’t take it very well, with the promotion he thought he had earned reconfirmation. “Vigevano had been trying to win the championship for several years – he says – and this year we managed to do so, losing only three games. I honestly didn’t expect it since I got what I was asked for. In any case, I can’t help but thank the club, starting with the president and Fabio, without him I would never have gotten here. As I have said many times, coaching Vigevano is not for everyone, it is an important place and winning made me extremely happy. I have no regrets, I would do everything I did again. I will always have the memory of this great year and the fact that I met some spectacular guys, who always gave me great availability; A human relationship was created between us even off the pitch, but with respect for roles, and this led us to work well.” And precisely because winning a championship, especially in Vigevano, is no small thing, we think that Castellazzi will have no problems quickly finding a new bench.
