Restore value to the Rovigo headquarters in Acquevenete and not reduce the staff who work there. Cgil, Cisl and Uil of Rovigo have written to the company that deals with the water network in Polesine to request a meeting to discuss the future of the Rovigo headquarters in via Benvenuto Tisi. Pieralberto Colombo, of the CGIL, Gino Gregnanin, of the Uil and Samuel Scavazzin, of the CISL underline “the importance for the city of Rovigo of maintaining structured, modern and efficient territorial public services, is crucial to stem the ongoing demographic decline and strengthen the role of Rovigo as the capital city”. They believe it is important that the current renovation of the Rovigo headquarters “takes into account the valorization of the territory”.
For the unions it is essential that “services to citizens and the maintenance of employment levels and offices are in continuity with the commitments made and that we move towards the technical-professional valorization of the Rovigo site”. It’s still: “We cannot fail to highlight that around 60 people worked in the Rovigo office in 2017 compared to just over 20 people currently. This element is indicative of the impoverishment that has already occurred.”
For his part, Piergiorgio Cortelazzo, president of Acquevenete explains that “I received the request for a meeting and I have already made it known that there will be. And that will be the opportunity and the place to address these issues.”
