We talk about AI in Pistoia

This year too, the ANS Tuscany Region Department promoted the project “Give meaning to life: respect it!”. For this XVII edition, a highly topical theme such as artificial intelligence was chosen, a sociological reflection on this technology useful for the future of the young generations and beyond. The initiative is developed thanks to a broad and detailed series of detailed activities involving the schools participating in the project.

In particular, the conference on the theme of this edition will take place on Friday 10 May from 9.00 to 12.30 in the Sala Maggiore of the Municipality of Pistoia: “Artificial intelligence. New society, what future”. The free-entry meeting aims to analyze young people’s perception of artificial intelligence. During the conference the speakers will address issues and situations that impact the development of AI. We will start by trying to briefly understand artificial intelligence and how much it can impact society, proceeding in a container of short reports capable of framing this new technology at our disposal.

After the dutiful institutional greetings, there will be space for the speakers: Gianluca Giuffrida (AI and general concepts), Donato Petrizzo (AI and work), Andrea Spini (AI and social effects), Giovanni Restivo (AI and teaching), Niccolò Domenici (AI and aspects legal), Matteo Vinattieri (AI and criminology), Federico Bilotti (AI and ethics), Alessandra Chirimischi (AI and journalism), Vincenzo Cerrone (AI and security), Riccardo Sgherri (AI and new skills).

Moderated by Emma Viviani, Sociologist Manager of ANS Tuscany, coordinated by Giuliano Bruni, Sociologist President of the ANS Tuscany Region Department.

An excellent way to deal with a new reality yet to be discovered in its strengths and weaknesses, creating a photograph that helps us interpret it through a sociological approach.
