“We feel we must respond to the specious attack by the city commissioner of Fratelli di Italia not only to send back to the sender the false accusations made through the local press, but also and above all to provide clarification to citizens on the almost 5 million in funding intercepted for the hub of Valentine’s Day childhood and for the new nursery in area 167.
These are loans intercepted by this Administration – underlines Addario – and certainly announced with satisfaction.
Satisfaction that should be common, given that we are talking about resources for the city. Also taking into account the fact that upon our settlement we only found debts and that every penny obtained from external resources can only help in the complicated management of the Authority and the City.
In fact, we cannot ignore the almost 90 million in debt that we are laboriously trying to repay.
Our starting point is always the same: debts and a rebalancing plan with stringent constraints to be respected to revive not only the institution, but all citizens.
It seems redundant to remember it, but the center-right evidently has little memory of it.
Just as you probably don’t remember that the Gabelli municipal kindergarten was closed under the previous administration and today, we are trying to reopen it, looking for solutions to the damage done by others.
This is why we believe that the accusation of having lost funding is unfair, but above all specious and improper.
Specifically, in fact, we would like to remind FDI that the defunding is the work of this Government, which has the same political color as them.
A political colour, that of the centre-right, which with its policies takes away from the South, takes away from the most fragile categories.
We are committed to intercepting resources to offer services and structures to families, but it is the Ministry that has decided to remodulate the resources on kindergartens by blocking the two projects acquired in the meantime by the offices ready to be tendered for the construction of the works. But no, a marked stop that only in the last few days saw a decree that seems to reallocate resources. But to date there is no official and clarity on the two loans given that the same annexes of the aforementioned decree refer to only one loan and not two.
Having a parliamentarian from this city (or at least so it appears on paper), we would have expected greater communication, but this was not the case and is not the case, so much so that to this day we are still waiting to qualify and quantify the “remodulation” feared by the Ministry.
We have been wondering for a while what the Honorable Matera’s actions are, because it seems to us that the pseudo-advantage of having one of our fellow citizens in Parliament, to date, is of no use to this city. It’s a shame, because the vote expressed by citizens must always be given honor and respect, exercising the role entrusted to them.
We remind you that there are as many 80 million euros of resources being tendered for the urban regeneration of our city. Resources intercepted by this center-left administration that will change the face of our city. And in the meantime we continue to asphalt the urban roads, even those inherited in a state of total disrepair, but the significant redevelopment actions are now visible. Let’s send the instrumental and sterile accusations back to the sender and move forward with facts and not useless words”, concludes Addario.
