FLORENCE – A case of alleged sexual violence. It happened in recent days, during the night between Sunday 5 May and Monday 6. On Tuesday morning the victim – a foreign student not yet of age – reported the incident in Ponte a Niccheri to the emergency room, where she went to be examined.
Accompanying the student, just 15 yearsat the hospital she was one of the teachers because the young woman was in Florence together with her class for a visit to Tuscany.
According to what the young woman told the police, who then intervened on the scene, the case of alleged sexual assault allegedly occurred inside the hotel where the school group was staying.
Other boys were also guests in that hotel. Among them was also a young man who allegedly approached the girl inside the hotel. The 15-year-old allegedly explained to the police that she had been “hooked” by the boy who then abused her inside a hotel room.
The girl, at a later time, she then told her class friends what had happened and subsequently confided in one of the teachers who accompanied the school group, who decided to accompany her to the emergency room for medical visits.
The police forces who intervened on the scene tried to trace the boy who, however, had already left Florence. The police would have taken the names of the young people who stayed in the structure. The young woman’s clothes would then be taken by the forensic police for DNA research.
The Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation.
