URBINO The “man and the dream” event at the Sanzio theater yesterday morning demonstrated that space is increasingly closer, but also that Italy and the Marche region are increasingly in space. The event organized in collaboration between the Air Force, the Region, the Municipality and University of Urbino and Confindustria, which sees the Fano strat up Spacewear as a supporter, brought the testimony of the astronaut Walter Villadei.

Research and development

«What I would like to talk about is a great opportunity – began Villadei –, made up of technological development and scientific research, which sees everyone as protagonists, especially young people».

And there was certainly no lack of passion in his testimony. Stories of ‘adventures in space’ made of studies, research, sacrifices, dedication and love for this work. And the president of the Marche Region Francesco Acquaroli underlined precisely the passion for one’s work and for one’s country, which should be transmitted to young people, but also to the whole of society.

The new frontier

Both the President of the Region and Villadei reiterated that “the industrial fabric of the Marche is an excellence that can increasingly prove to be so”. What lies ahead for the future is a new space economy: space is increasingly attractive for businesses and ever closer, as also explained by the president of Confindustria Alessandra Baronciani: «This is a very important day that looks to the future, very neighbor of the space economy. There is an exponential growth in these space trips. Something that will be increasingly within reach, which will also have to have comforts and services, from the kitchen, to the conveniences that can and must be areas of development for Italian companies.”

The start-up from Fano

And the suit worn by Villadei is Italian, and more precisely from Fano, with advanced technology to shield radiation and monitor health. But why do you go into space? As explained by Villadei, for research on health, technologies and mental economy. A universe to discover «to bring development and innovation to the earth. To aim beyond boundaries and improve. Anyone can do it, you just need to believe in it and commit.”
