ROSE GARDEN. For the first time, 13 artists from Rosetta will gather for the collective exhibition “Correnti” in the rooms on the ground floor of the municipal villa, as part of the “Villa in Arte” project which will be held from 24 May to 9 June. A unique event, born from the idea of the culture councilor Francesco Luciani and supported by the artistic director of Roseto Art.Lab Bruno Cerasiwhich will be inaugurated on May 24th at 7pm.
«After the reopening in December with Il Bello Resta and the exhibition recently organized by the Il Guscio association», comments Cerasi, «Correnti celebrates the rediscovered meeting in one of the historic places of Roseto with a collective of thirteen of its artists, of different ages and generations. An exhibition, even before being a sharing of works and beauty, is a dialogue and an exchange. Art will be the center of them and citizens will be able to experience it to the full. This exhibition will mark the beginning of Villa in Arte, a long-term project to revive the municipal villa as an artistic and cultural space after many years of closure.” The works of will be exhibited Luciano Astolfi, Chiara Fiori, Daniele Guerrieri, Giuseppe Lucantoni, Cristina Mazzocchetti, Giulia Quintiliani, Samuele Romano, Lucia Santarelli, Silvia Settepanella, Guerino Tentarelli, Pasquale Testa And Loriana Valentini and there will also be paintings by Flavia Di Bonaventura, the 22-year-old who was hit and killed in August 2022. «We often hear that the task of an administrator is to enhance the territory, neglecting the need to enhance the people even first», states Luciani, «through Roseto Art.Lab first and Villa in Art we instead wanted to put the spotlight on the many talents, true family jewels, that our community manages to express. A strong and heartfelt thanks goes to all the artists who strongly believed in our proposal and, in particular, to the artistic director Cerasi, in whom we have renewed our trust and with whom we are carrying out an excellent job of rebirth of one of the places symbol of our city, the municipal villa. As far as I’m concerned, a job that will always start from putting young people at the centre.”
