Each motorcycle has its own characteristics and, consequently, different requirements in terms of riding. This is a topic Miguel Oliveira was asked about before the French MotoGP Grand Prix.
The Trackhouse Racing rider explained what the 2024 Aprilia RS-GP requires in terms of riding, starting by mentioning that corner entry and exit are important moments:
– This bike allows you to turn corners quite well. It’s all about the output, how much power you can have during the output. Our bike seems to be a little difficult to accept so much power when accelerating. So you have to pay attention to the entrance. You can brake late, but I would say only the Ducatis or KTMs can actually do it probably only 5/10 meters later because they can widen the trajectory and come back with a lot of power.
Oliveira added: ‘We have to pay attention to that entry phase, but overall it’s a pretty good bike. You can’t reduce the speed too much, so you have to pay attention to this‘.
