Puglia at the Turin Book Fair

Region and Teatro Pubblico Pugliese at the main Italian literary event to promote Apulian publishing with an institutional stand, 39 publishing houses, over 50 presentations and an exhibition dedicated to illustrators. Once again Puglia at the Turin International Book Fair, scheduled from today to 13 May 2024 and entitled Imaginary Life, with an institutional stand and the presence of 39 publishing houses, a calendar with over 50 presentations and an exhibition dedicated to illustrators Apulian. The stand of the Puglia Region, created with Teatro Pubblico Pugliese – Regional Consortium for Arts and Culture as part of Parole a sistema, a line of intervention for the development and valorisation of Apulian publishing, in collaboration with APE – Associazione Pugliese Editori, is spread over a total area of ​​200m2.

The Puglia stand will also host an exhibition – an integral part of the exhibition – which brings together the drawings of 35 Apulian illustrators who are protagonists, again with the Puglia Region, at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2024, a fair dedicated to publishing for children and teenagers. Finally, as usual, the meeting space of the institutional stand offers a very rich program of presentations.

Among these, on Sunday, at 12.00, video presentation and catalog of the exhibition “A lesson in freedom. Tommaso Fiore, humanist and southerner, between ethics and politics” organized by the Regional Council of Puglia – Library and Institutional Communication Section Teca del Mediterraneo. The exhibition was created on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of the intellectual and southerner from Altamura.
