“Nutri-Menti”, the event on the valorization of food and wine excellence at Crisea • Wonders of Calabria

Enhance Calabrian food and wine excellences. An objective beyond the theme that will be the underlying theme of the third edition of “Nutri-Menti”, the meeting that has become an unmissable event for experts and enthusiasts in the sector.
An event, promoted by the research and advanced services center for rural innovation (Crisea) which will take place on Saturday 11 May starting from 9.30 in the conference room of the Crisea Research Centre, in Condoleo di Belcastro, in the province of Catanzaro .

In collaboration with the prestigious Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia Treccani, this year’s edition precedes the partnership with the “Rita Levi Montalcini” Higher Education Institute of Sersale and the municipality of Cardinale. The Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro, as every year through the doctorate in Life Sciences, will recognize training credits for the doctoral students who participate in the event. The program

The work of the 2024 edition of Nutri-Menti includes three scientific and cultural sessions of considerable interest. The conference activities will be introduced by institutional greetings. In particular there will be the undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Wanda Ferro; the president of the regional council, Filippo Mancuso; the president of the Province of Catanzaro, Amedeo Mormile; the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia, Pietro Falbo; the mayor of Sersale, Carmine Capellupo; the mayor of Botricello, Saverio Simone Puccio; the mayor of Belcastro, Antonio Torchia; the president of Gal Kroton, Natale Carvello.

A series of scientific-cultural sessions of considerable interest will follow: the first – introduced by Stefano Alcaro, president of the Crisea center and professor at the UMG of Catanzaro, moderated by Luigi Chirizzi, of Treccani Reti – will see the presentation of theQualivita Atlas 2024created by Treccani, with Marco Sabbellico, journalist and editor of the Gambero Rosso magazine Vini d’Italia.

The second session will be dedicated to “Enhancement of a flower called artichoke”, with the introduction of Vincenzo Mollace of the UMG and the moderation of Giovanna Moscato, head teacher of the Ipssceoa of Botricello-Sersale. Speakers: Laura Barilarro and Elvira Gatti from Ipssceoa; Alessandro Caligiuri and Denis Bubbo, students of Ipsasr and Salvatore Fioccata of the “Pastificio Calabria” of Zagarise.

The last session will focus on “Enhancement of the Cardinale hazelnut”. Giuseppe Rotirori, president of the Consorzio Valorizzazione e Tutela Nocciola di Calabria, will introduce the event, and Giosuè Costa from the Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro will moderate. Maria Grazia Rotundo of the Crisea association and executive chef Nadia Christina Tappen will speak on the topic.
