Regarding the news of the rejection of the Cala Saccaia LNG depot by the Ministry of the Environment, here are the declarations that attest to the satisfaction of the opposition councillors. “An important first step for safeguard of the Gulf of Olbia and the production activities present. We would like to once again highlight how the environmental and economic tourism context of our city cannot and must not be compromised by systems of this nature. The council group Free adds: “While we are waiting to know the acts and the reasons, having learned from the press of the denial during the environmental assessment by the Ministry of the Environment, we express great satisfaction, having immediately fought as a council minority, together with many citizens and good part of the productive world of Cala Saccaia, against a project imposed from above and harbinger of numerous environmental and economic problems for our city.”
