the artist’s solo exhibition Il Tirreno in Livorno

Livorno “I’m not interested in the story made by the news, they seemed like nice words to me, but they’re already in the past.” The City Museum and the administration present “Nicola Vukich 1974-2023: In memory”, a personal exhibition dedicated to the artist from Livorno set up in the spaces of the Chiesa del Luogo Pio, which can be visited from Friday 10 May at 5pm to 28 July. The inauguration has free admission.

«It is often said that the artist sees better and more deeply than the common man and the formula fits perfectly in Nicola’s case», writes Paolo Santoboni. With the inauguration of the exhibition, the catalog “Nicola Vukich. An artist’s collective”, edited by Coop Itinera, will be available. The volume contains texts edited by Paolo Santoboni, with the collaboration of Antonella Capitanio, Anna Rita Chiocca, Marco Collareta, Cristiano Giometti, and presents the short, but dense, research path undertaken to create the exhibition. Between the pages, we read testimonies provided generously about the artist, respectful of the message delivered through his works.

Info. From tomorrow, Saturday 11 May, the exhibition will be included in the route and ticket of the City Museum (5 euros full, 3 euros reduced). The opening hours are those of the City Museum, from Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-7pm closed on Mondays.
