The images published by CremonaEvening they hit the mayoral candidate about the disastrous state of the former Foro Boario car park Alessandro Portesani, who just yesterday denounced the state of degradation of the car parks in Via Dante. Hence the tough stance and a new promise: shuttles for fast connections between the corona car parks and the centre.
“After our report on the parking disaster in Via Dante – observes Portesani – newspapers and social media have published the shameful situation in which even the city’s parks find themselves due to the culpable negligence of the Galimberti Virgilio council; the latter candidate of the center left. You are truly left speechless looking at those photographs.”
“Two examples for everyone – he adds –. The Foro Boario park, the city’s calling card, is a real sieve. In the large holes, when it rains, real ponds are created. The unevenness in the pavement is so large that it becomes a physical risk for pedestrians and a technical risk for cars. Another case is that of via Villa Glory which also requires a fee. Here too, as soon as it rains some stalls become impassable. The surface, in some parts not cemented, opens up into chasms that do not allow drivers to get out of their cars, otherwise they will get totally wet. Up to now there has been zero care by the current administrators. We receive many protests from citizens on a daily basis.”
The centre-right candidate observes: “The situation is really out of control with the situation happening in the city. In the meantime, we as the centre-right will try to find immediate solutions to remedy these technical situations. Then we have concrete proposals for parking in the city. Meanwhile, the identification of at least four car parks crowns the gates of the city: some existing such as that of the Foro Boario and the Fair square. Others to be built: the first in the viale Po/via Giordano sector. The second in the hospital area.”
And here, in conclusion, is the proposal: “To make these parks useful and convenient for both citizens of Cremona and those arriving from other locations, we have decided to cover the routes that connect the car parks to the opposite poles of the city with small electric buses that will pass through the historic center of Cremona. A service that will reduce travel times across the city also for citizens who use local public transport”.
