Among the decisions of the council that met today are:

ELECTORAL PROPAGANDA SPACES
The council has approved the placement of spaces for the posting of posters for the electoral propaganda of the political parties or groups that will participate in the European Parliament elections on 8 and 9 June, in 20 locations in the municipal area:

MEMBERSHIP TO THE ANCI SYSTEM OF YOUTH INFORMATION SERVICES
The Municipality’s membership in the ANCI Lombardy Regional Coordinated System of Youth Information services for scholastic and professional orientation and for the systematisation of policies “for” and “with” young people was approved.
Membership of the system will be useful in order to create, within the B.Re.aTHE GENERATIONS/Filiurbani project, a structured youth information service and to consolidate it as a fundamental point of reference for providing young people between 14 and 35 years of a service, with free and open access, aimed at informing, orienting and accompanying them in relation to work, culture, training, volunteering, active citizenship.

HANDBOOK AGAINST THE MISTREATMENT OF CHILDREN
The council has taken note of the Vademecum to be adopted in the event of suspected mistreatment and abuse of minors attending the State Comprehensive Institutes of the City: it is a tool for those who professionally deal with the protection, care and guardianship of minors aged between 3 and 14 years old, created by the Municipality, in collaboration with the School Directors following some projects launched in recent years.
Already as part of the project “A nursery for us: building together a vision of care” starting from the year 2020, the administration had shared with all the subjects co-responsible for the promotion, prevention and protection of the rights of boys and girls 0- 3 years, an experimental handbook with the aim of defining guidelines and good operational practices to be adopted in situations of prejudice, for the most effective joint action between operators and services.
Over the years, joint and coordinated actions have also been carried out for children and young people aged 3 to 14, establishing effective collaborations between the Department of Educational Policies and the Department of Social Inclusion with State School Institutes, private bodies society and law enforcement.

MATERNAGE SPACE AT THE SKY AND EARTH NURSERY
The council approved the opening of the “Maternage Space” at the “Cielo e Terra” nursery located in Via Speranza n. 7, in concession to PROGES Società Cooperativa Sociale.
Starting from May 2024, new parents of children aged 0 to 12 months who are not enrolled in an early childhood service will be able to access the “Maternage Space” free of charge, upon registration, every Wednesday morning from 10.00 to 11.30.

DOLCI COLOMBO SCHOLARSHIPS
The council has approved the announcement for the assignment of 3 “Dolci-Colombo” scholarships worth €1,000 each in favor of students of the “Arturo Tosi” State Scientific High School who have achieved a scientific high school diploma with a final grade of 100/ 100 or 100/100 with honors and who have particularly distinguished themselves from a moral and academic perspective in the 2023/2024 school year.

CONTRIBUTION TO ADSA
The council has approved a contribution of 1,400 Euros in favor of the Community-Accommodation of the Asda Speranza Cooperative, to partially cover the expenses that will be incurred for the one-week stay at the seaside of the ten guests of the structure in the month of June 2024.

JOINING THE CLEAN GREEN DAY
Participation in the environmental volunteering initiative “CLEAN GREEN DAY” promoted by the Lombardy Region has been approved: the local event will take place on Sunday 12 May (see separate note).

PATRONAGES
The council has granted patronage and, in some cases, the use of municipal or theater halls:

– to Free Runners Team for the creation of the “6-legged afternoon” scheduled for May 12th at the Cossetto park, the proceeds of which will go to support the “La Casa di Chiara” association. Various activities will be organized in the park to raise awareness among the population about the benefits of having a dog, how to manage and educate it. A 2.5 km walk with 4-legged friends will start at 4.15pm;

– to the Riabitare Association for the creation of two initiatives in collaboration with the Parish of San Luigi and Beata Giuliana on 19 May “Bimbinfesta” – Family Festival and on 20 May “Vocincanto” – Festival of San Bernardino da Siena” at the ‘San Bernardino Oratory;

– at the Istituto Comprensivo Nicolò Tommaseo for the organization of the school orientation evening “Direzione Futuro” scheduled for May 21st from 6.00 pm in the Conference Room of the Textile Museum, and intended for pupils in the second classes of some lower secondary schools degree, in collaboration with the Single School, Training and Work Table of the Territorial School Office of Varese;

– to the “Scuola di Medicina Carnaghi A. e Brusatori S. Onlus Foundation for the organization of the conference entitled “New frontiers of perinatal medicine”, which will take place on 6 June in the Conference Room of the Textile Museum;

– to the City Center Merchants Committee for the creation of the “Ancient Toy Exhibition” which will be held on 8 and 9 June in the Twin Hall of the Textile Museum;

– to the RSA Luigi Accorsi for the organization of the conference on deconstraint on the occasion of the Day dedicated to mistreatment in RSA scheduled for 14 June in the Conference room of the Textile Museum;

– at the TELEFONO AMICO ODV Centro of Busto Arsizio for the organization of the charity dinner on November 22nd in the Sala Pro Busto;

PATRONAGE FOR SPORTS INITIATIVES
There are numerous sporting events that have received the patronage, and in some cases the use of municipal spaces and facilities:

– the cycling initiative “44th Coppa Piccola S. Geo – 27th Trofeo G. Mara” scheduled for Sunday 19 May with departure at 10.00 am and arrival scheduled for approximately 1.15 pm in Viale Piemonte (market area), announced by the Cycling Federation Italian and organized by UC Bustese Olonia ASD;

– the “AICS skating trophy dedicated to categories and levels”, scheduled for Sunday 19 May at the Castiglioni rink, organized by the New Dream Busto Arsizio Association;

– the “Walk with us” event, scheduled for Saturday 25 May at Parco Sempione, organized by the Bianca Garavaglia Foundation;

– the 31st edition of the “Fantagiochi”, scheduled for May 26th at the Speroni stadium and organized by the Amici Asilo Sant’Anna Association;

– the “Red Blue Tournament, the sport that unites” scheduled for Sunday 26 May at the Beata Giuliana parish sports field and organized by the Beata Giuliana ASD Sports Group;

– the Yoga seminar held by the Indian master Bharat Shetty, which will take place in three events scheduled for 11, 12 and 13 June in the Festive Hall of the Textile Museum, organized by the Art’Es cultural association;

– the “1st TRE VALLI VARESINE HANDBIKE – Municipality of Busto Arsizio Trophy” scheduled for Saturday 22 June with departure and arrival at the Textile Museum, organized by SC Alfredo Binda (the presentation to the press is scheduled for 22 May at 11.00 in the hall advise);

– the XXII edition of the women’s athletics meeting “Trofeo Bracco”, scheduled for 10 July, from 7pm to 10pm, at the “A. Athletics Centre”. Borri”, organized by the ASD BRACCO ATLETICA of Milan;

– the non-competitive cycling event “Busto – Scopello”, scheduled for Sunday 8 September, starting from the Textile Museum park, organized by the Busto Scopello Organizing Committee.
